Managed to play a game of LADG with Stephen.
I used Sassanid Persian against his Justinian (ie early) Byzantines
Another excellent game using this set of rules despite us being a bit rusty with them.
It all just seem to work with plausible troop interactions and systems.
We failed to finish mainly due to starting a tad late after an extended waffling session about various rule sets and Stephens impending trip to Salute.
