Combat Commander - 1940 scenarios in triplicate

Been awhile but got CC:E back onto table with my Dad tonight playing 3 scenarios from the 1940 Fall Of The West battle pack.
First had BEF defending Dunkirk perimeter, the second Brits again defending in Norway and third had French in well France.
Nasty old Huns lost all three but the last was exceedingly close.
As always exciting play with this most excellent game system.

Combat Commander three 1940 scenarios played

Game of Combat Commander at my Dads and we picked scenario selection from the Fall of the WEst pack.
First couple pitted Fallschirmjager against Belgians (with the awful Allied Minor nations single discard 'ability') and the Germans proved too good for the plucky defenders.
Third action had British (The Durhams) in action against Wehrmacht troops at the Dyle river and the BEF troops showed the Hun what for in short order.

As ever such excellent gaming with Combat Commander (pity my pics are not of same standard!)

Combat Commander more RSG games

Played the ever excellent Combat Commander with my Dad tonight using the Random Scenario Generator app again.
First scenario generated was 1940 French vs Germans and a tough old slog it proved to be with my Dads Huns narrowly coming out on top.
Second was a 1943 Eastern Front bash for which my hand was consistently like a foot as we say here.
Ivans just never got going after early loss of a key leader so another win for my Dad and his Fascist beasts.
Great stuff as ever.

Combat Commander again

Another three scenarios played with my Dad from the Tournament Scenario Pack.
First up was a meeting of Us and Getman patrols in the Ardennes then it as off to Arnhem as the Red Devils fought the SS and finally Sicily witn Italians facing advancing Canadian units.
Three excellent games with each seeing a blaze envelope part of the battlefield including an entire victory location building !!

Combat Commander more fighting in Normandy

Bugger all time for gaming this past week but thankfully managed an evening of Combat Commander with my Dad.
Another two Normandy scenarios this time with British storming ashore at Sword Beach and Canadians facing HJ at Authie.
Yet again a superb time had with this game and honours even as I narrowly failed to defeat the resistance nest WN20 at Sword but held of the dreaded SS at Authie.

Combat Commander Normandy another three scenarios played

Played another three scenarios with my Dad of this superbly entertaining game.
All three featured in and around Omaha beach pitting Yanks against the Huns.
All three went to the wire and were hotly contested.
Yanks won two the Huns one.
Great stuff yet again.

Combat Commander more of.....

Played 4 more scenarios from the new Tournament Pack for Combat Commander at my Dads.
More excellent exciting and chaotic Wargaming.
We played using Nazis, Yanks, Eyties, Ivans and Cannucks and both suffered the swings and roundabouts of outrageous fortune aplenty.
Two scenarios saw time whizz by (multiple Time Checks in short time) putting real pressure on players.
I won two, lost one and we drew last one.
Super stuff again with a super game.

British vs Germans at Arnhem

Canada vs Italy in Sicily

Russia vs Germany in Russia 1943

Combat Commander back on table

Managed to get two scenarios of the new Combat Commander tournament pack played with my Dad.

First up was Russian assault on a German held hill in 1943 and a really close game it turned out to be with my Dad narrowly holding on to last victory hex but losing due to enforced surrender due to casualties.
Second game was Polish defence of a town and road in 1939.
This turned out a more one sided affair as my Dads Nazis got bogged down despite the poor hands of the Poles.
A Polish assault saw him lose a squad and a leader despite him using three ambush cards to my one as I 'rolled' an 11 to see off his units.

Great stuff with this excellent game once more.
