Bolt Action WWII

Huzzah !! these just arrived this morning.
Very quick skim through (and sniff of fresh ink....aaaahhhhh....) and usual high production values of these Osprey/Warlord publications with lots of nice illustrations and photos of figures.
These might just get me to resurrect my aged Airfix/Revell etc for an outing as last seen light of day back in 2006.
The spirit is indeed willing but time is non-existent however !

  1. We have been thinking about these rules. I would be keen to read your thoughts.

Hi Gary, mine arrived this morning too. They look interesting but I was a bit disappointed that you were only recommended to use 1 tank in a normal sized game - I'm sure KGN allows more than that, but maybe KGN isn't set at platoon level like Bolt Action? Cheers Norman

  5. Just increase the point level of your game Norman. The next 1000 points all tanks.

Thing is that the rules recommend 3 infantry squads per tank (might be some sort of balance thing I suppose) and I'm unlikely to fit more than 3-4 squads per side on my 6x4 table. Might be worth a try after I've got the rules down and see what happens.
