Historical Wargaming using Miniatures, PC & Board Games as played by Sgt Steiner
Been coming for a while but still sad to hear of the loss of our Duke Of Edinburgh
I shall raise my glass, for the last time, to our Colonel in Chief.
Feels very like the end of an era.
And me to our former Captain General.
The end of the funniest man in the Royal family, a toast to a fine gentleman! Two of my children were Duke of Edinburgh award recipients, and I was in the Australian Tri Service Federation guard in 1988 on his visit to Australia.cheersMatt
A gentleman indeed.
Not a man who got much attention in the US.... which probably says a lot positive about his character!
One of the sadly disappeared old breed of WW2 veterans and true gents.
A sad day indeed.
