Yes, Paul's stuff does leave my head reeling! And I totally understand your last comment; there should be a statistical study caried out on battlefield capability as an inverse corollary to detail of painting!
Hi Sgt S, All the white on the uniform makes them stand out very well. The brass is always a hard 1 for me to think about as the Prussian and Russian brass is talked about as being quite dark so yours are spot on. Thanks for the comments guys, I spend far to much time on my figures. I spent years painting for my nephews and never really built a collection for myself. Now that they are all grown up I decided I wanted to make a collection for myself and that is why I go right into the detail (probably too much).
My Prussians also spend a lot of time getting chased off the table! Regards Paul
Very nice Sgt Steiner.
ReplyDeleteHi
ReplyDeleteI think I should have used a brighter brassy colour for helmet plates as this one has dulled once varnish applied.
Cheers
Very effective use of blocking around the eyes. I'm impressed at that level of detail in such a small scale!
ReplyDeleteHi
ReplyDeleteThanks but if you want to see true artistry at 15mm scale check out these Prussians (make mine look like I used crayons)at:

One does ones best however and mine look good enough on table as I only see their behinds until they start routing anyhow :-)
